Edit: re: thinner jacket, answered in the NMWA thread, should've checked there

Are these different pants? I need both of these.

Styleforum itself has chosen the same bomber shaped jacket, in a fuzzy blue grey wool blend.

We also have a hip length hooded jacket, in a seriously nice navy wool with a inside that is multicolored, and that will show on the lining.

Finally, in outerwear, we'll have a longer non hooded coat with lapels that can be worn up or down, in a cooler grey, the same fuzzy blue grey wool blend (my personal pick for both color and materials) and in the Navy basketweave, which is the cleanest garment, and then in a grey wool blend.

Very finally, a pair of paints with a drawstring waist, grey back, and checked front, mainly because both Jasper and I work in "home offices". They also look sharp.

These will be up with pics tomorrow, with a very short period, so be sure to check in tomorrow.

Terms will be exactly the same as NoMan's, so pick what you like.

I am eagerly anticipating Styleforum's preorder selection! I have already made intention to purchase two coats, so I'll be buying one from NMWA, and the other from Styleforum. I'm especially intrigued by the none hooded coat 😀

I was never smitten by the merino but I love the bomber version! Especially in that blue.

I would challenge Herr Schneider(and most other designers frankly) to use older aged models at least occasionally. That is if he thinks it appropriate....We spend $ too ya know.

This is coming from an age 50's fanboi dude who's got a crapload of SS.

However the only SS piece I have that I'm on the fence about is last years Memory. If I don't sell it, I'm considering styling it sans hood.

I like this piece.

Sparked thoughts of my Rust Juncus. Super cool collar.

Great stuff this season. I need to spend more time in colder climes.

Hey guys, I am struggling finding european stockists... the ones that I know are wrongweather, yoox and farfetch but they have pretty poor items selection :(

Anyone? Even some better pics of the fabric would be nice
(It's supposed to be dark grey green camo)

I figure I could probably show teasers from the showroom showing those blacked-out oil paintings mentioned above while @la guy gets up the collection with the model and detail shots.

@metranger8694, interesting point. I think Schneider's stuff works well on men of all ages. I can see doing a fun lookbook sort of shoot with an older and younger dude. It could be an interesting dynamic. Youth sells, though, and also it might be a bit harder (though probably not that hard) to find older dudes that fit perfectly in the sample size.

I believe you can order direct from the boutique (check a few pages back). Neighbor will very likely carry the new season when it's available. And if you're in Berlin, I know Ulf Haines is a stockist (without a webshop).

The burgundy really is a beautiful shade. Can't say I see myself in any of those coats personally, but I do like the hip-length burgundy jacket. Might try to land myself one.

If you are talking about the one in the NMWA post where the collar opens into the hood like a lotus flower, I agree. That is the most tempting piece to me. Also the long coat from the first shot of the lookbook is great.

Overall, I miss the creativity. These are great pieces and you can make a great argument that every one belongs. For new customers I'm sure it's wonderful. For someone who doesn't need another merino or version of it, I'm left wanting after several seasons of this. I have no business buying any more clothes but I'm disappointed he isn't forcing my hand with a jaw-dropping knit or something.

Anyway, these are the two pieces I was mentioning that I like. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

And the jacket and trousers here are both nice. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

The issue with getting a model, particular a fit model at a showroon, is that there is more to modeling than being very, very, good looking.  Ask @Synthese, who was the model for our shoot at SNS Herning (which I feel will blow minds, btw, and not just because Jasper looks very Hemingwayesque in that shoot.)

You are at the whims of the client and designer, and have to be modeling at a moment's notice, for, frankly, not a great deal of money.  Doing a Yamamoto runway show is pretty unusual, and a big honor, and those older models are often personal friends of the designer.  I don't know too many 40 or 50 somethings who would be willing to put themselves at the beck and call of a designer, all day long, modeling for different press people and buyers, all day long.

I really, really like this jacket in the burgundy:

The NMWA bomber in beige is also pretty bomb.

Two things to note : (1) the blue in the look book picture is not at all representative of the true color of the coat. There is no electric blue color way this season. It's a much less saturated blue-navy IRL; (2) the very long coat is gorgeous but the shape is rather directional with a narrow waist and wide hem. It's beautiful but not for everyone.
