Everyone seems to think that my alpaca coat (Frozen Waves iteration) is a sweater/hoodie.
"Oh, I love your sweater!"
"Thanks...but It's a jacket.plain.gif "
Anyone else with an alpaca jacket/other hooded coat get this a lot?
Nope, it probably fits too much like a hoodie and less like a jacket than.

Yup, too many people sized down on the Alpaca coat I think, which gives it that "hoodie effect"

Anyone own the Beeswax jacket? How is that hood? Looks like a nice jacket, but I hate clothes where I am fussing over the position of the hood - looks like it has the potential to drape nicely, but with those giant swooping lapels and hood, might be obnoxious - does it stay in place pretty well? Any good fitpics?

Have it. It's better than it looks in the pics even. The sides/sleeves are a really amazing knit. I kind of took a chance on it because it was on sale at the boutique at the time, but when it came in the mail I was blown away.

The hood stays where you put it and it looks amazing unbuttoned! Best way for you to picture it is a minimal pea coat with a huge hood, but it dosent stick out a lot so its not obnoxious and wont be anoyong while sitting in a chair with it on. Its now become my favorite piece of clothing ill post pictures really soon.

I have 3 SS jackets with big hoods and I wouldn't say there's a right way to wear but like what your hoping that it will drape is how I say they all really fall, looks really good.
