Thanks for the sizing tips, tonio! Sounds like you and I are roughly the same size, so it's prolly safe for me to go with a IV. I saw a really nice grey SS blazer with line details on the B&S thread recently, why has no one kopped?

I always secretly hope I'll hate new designer collections, just because it's only (barely) affordable to me once they hit deep, deep, deep discount. No such luck here.

That pea coat is one of those pieces that is richly deserving of the "baller" label. It's not over-designed and yet, even the average North Face-wearing schmuck will see that and

About sizing, tonio's post pretty much covers it, I'll just add my 2cents. I'm on the bigger end of the sizing scale (43-44 p2p, generally L in most brands) so take it with a grain of salt.



shirts: cosing on the high armholes and slim fit, I personally find SS shirts to be the best fitting shirt I've ever had, they somehow manage to fit slim everywhere while never being constricting, the fact that on paper the measurements are closer to regular cut shirts is a testament to the shirts cut, it's magic ! (sz.7 = almost 23" p2p, has a better slim fit than my BoO XL had, ok BoO is probably on the skinny side but still...). I wear size 6 and sz.7, sz.7 sleeves are a bit too long but the shoulder-chest-arms fit is still perfect

blazers: it's not just that they fit small, it's the structured shoulders, I can't fit into a sz VI without severe hulking and the sz. VII is still too constricting in the shoulders --> size up from shirt size

outerwear : this is a weird one for me, my SS coat are actually one or two size down from my shirt size, but one is kind of a formal tailored coat that's really really fitted (can't wear thick layers underneath of I can't bend my arms anymore) and the other one is a more relaxed coat that fits perfectly (but I could also wear it one or two size bigger given the item).

pants : size up one

sweaters/cardis : it really depends on how you want to wear the stuff, especially for the wool/wool blend items which can be pretty stretchy and loose fitting, I've been able to wear stuff ranging from sz.4 to sz.6

Aha, his sizing is strange. Its hard to catergorise his sizing for different items as I find them to be all over the place regardless of the type of garment. Last fall his crew necks were fitting about 2 sizes too big yet the coats were fitting a size too small. Seems to be that most stuff if fitting tts for this summer season though. Shame this summer was a bit of a low for Schneider. I'm yet to find a summer collection from him that comes close to comparing with his fall output. Its a shame. As for my blazer. It fits small due to the already mentioned high armholes. I'd say a V is small. I own a VI in the shawl collar blazer from the season just passed and it fits a medium quite well. Only selling that blazer as it fits too small and I kind of want the full suit. I never post on SF but it seems the best place to talk about Schneider. He gets a lot more deserved recognition here in comparison to other forums. Just bare in mind for any new comers that you haven't experienced it until youve seen it in person. His fabrics are stellar and really allow the pieces to come to life. Its also worth noting that if you want to see individual pieces from this collection search: liberte schneider on google.co.jp and go on liberte's blog. They have images for a lot of the collection, albeit worn by a very unsuitable model.

He does. I own 3 of them. I actually like the variety with the hidden buttons.

Nice heads up. Yeah, last sales season OC had several blazers and I couldn't fit into any of them. They were either too small that I couldn't move or big in the shoulders while tight against my back. Really odd.
Amen. The hidden plackets, not only on the front but along the sleeves which I've rarely seen, are my favorite detail of his. It's really a bit of his signature and honestly it's somewhat make-or-break with me in terms of purchasing a shirt.

The irony is that SS uses my favorite buttons, especially the black MOP which off the top of my head I've only seen S2A use. It's a feature I'd love to show off.

This is a beautiful collection. Can't wait to see the pieces in person.

They seem to have prices as well...! If I'm understanding it correctly, the duffel will be around 100k yen. Not that bad.
