I think you really need to be rail thin for chunky sweaters in general

size?

I don't know if it's my lack of skill taking photo's of myself or what....but the sweater doesn't look that bad in person on me. I did have my skinniest jeans on (W+H straights, which fit very slim) when taking the first round of pics, which I probably would not have paired with an oversized sweater if I were to actually wear it out.

Still on the fence as to if I'll keep it or not...main reason is the length of the knit (both sleeves and body length).

I think the sweater itself is fine but it clashes really bad with jeans.

It's a great looking sweater but I think it just looks a bit too long for you. I would try the next size down if I were you

Length on a III versus the IV is only 1 cm difference, which isn't that much at all. I even emailed Au Revoir about the measurements listed before I ordered, cause the length posted online would make the sweater fit almost as long as a blazer.

Still a no on my end


Really not trying to be a dick, it's just awful when you wear something expensive for like a month before finally realizing it's not gonna work out and lose serious $$$ on it

Also the case for sleeves? I don't know - maybe you can get them to shrink a little by soaking them in hot water and drying them flat without stretching? I'm not too sure, but they look awkwardly long and bunchy IMO (not in a cool oversized way)

I hear you Reedo, I've been down that road before, which is why I'm still on the fence about the sweater. The fabric is just that awesome, but the cut is a little 'meh' for my body type (not terrible in real life, but not great either).

Hopefully my own experience with the sweater can help you guys make a little more educated decisions with this seasons SS collection.

I've thought about this for past purchases, but you cant guarantee which way(s) it will shrink, and if it will hold up. It may introduce wrinkles, shrink the wrong way, etc....not something I'd be willing to experiment with on a ~$300 sweater that is woven in a special way for texture.

Size IV. Sorry about that.
