Tottenham's FA Cup tie with Bolton has been abandoned

ESPN, who are covering this tie live on TV, have reported that Fabrice Muamba had CPR while on the pitch at White Hart Lane. The 23-year-old collapsed about five minutes before half-time.
ESPN's reporter in the White Hart Lane tunnel says Fabrice Muamba was not breathing when the Bolton midfielder was carried past him. Medical staff were still attempting to resuscitate him and a defibillator had been used.

That's horrifying stuff. I followed tweets for about twenty minutes right after it happened. It's great to see he's stable after seeing unofficial reports of his death, but I have to wonder how much brain damage he has. I can't imagine the brain can go through a prolonged period without blood flow like what he apparently went through.

Bolton Wanderers can confirm that Fabrice Muamba has been admitted to the Heart Attack Centre at the London Chest Hospital where he is currently in a critically ill condition in intensive care.

That can't be good.

Hope he pulls through. A lot of footballers have heart problems (thankfully heart attacks are quite rare), but the clubs assume that because they are young, usually not overweight, do a lot of running etc, then they are fine and don't scan for them. Doubt this will change that though. Apparently a cardiologist tried to run on the pitch and had to fight with stewards to get to him baldy[1].gif

They were right on the scene, he is very healthy, he was given immediate treatment including CPR which does move blood thru the body. I wouldnt be surprised if he gets thru it fine albeit unable to play football any longer.

Get well, Muamba! Hope he fully recovers.

On a completely unrelated note... fans in Poland. Supporting their senior and junior teams...
Not sure if already posted, but either way: (best catches: fairy at 2:38 , Yoda meditating at 2:07)

And my offer still stands. Anyone here playing Fifa 12 on PS3? PM me.
