i dunno i think being out of CL would help both city/utd to focus on epl ... lol @ nasri i think he wanted europa league so he engineered his departure hahaha

agreed, still a 2 horse race with city probably even more likely at this point. well at least they could only buy epl and not europe

The results of this draw prove what a joke the methodolgy is. UEFA and FIFA go to the trouble to develop the nat. team coeffficients, etc., in order to rank the teams, and yet the 2 teams with the lowest ranking of the final 16, Poland and Ukraine 1) automatically qualify for the final round; 2) have a presumed home field advantage; and 3) are automatically placed in Pot 1. I'm fine with 1) and 2) but 3) is a joke. The result is that a considerably weaker group (Group A in this case) emerges.
And so then one reads on the UEFA website this ridiculous opening line: "The 16 UEFA EURO 2012 contenders were placed into four hugely challenging groups by Friday's draw which pitted Poland against Greece in the opening game of the tournament." Seriously....
Groups B and C are the toughest, but I'm not upset Italy play Spain at the outset...I would rather play them early than late.
