Great hood. Smith Street and Court Streets are right there. Smith St is considered restaurant row in the downtown Bk area. Atlantic Ave is antique row and has many restaurants also.Commute to the city is easy...BASED on where exactly you live. I take the F from Bergen Street(my block) to 63/Lex and it takes me appr 30 min.
Nightlife is cool esp on Smith St.
Bklyn Heights is more of a family area IMO. Probably the most expensive hood in Bk. Pk Slope is also a hood or 2 over so you can get there anytime.
I am in Boerum Hill and hang in all of those areas. Yellow cabs run along Smith St and you can catch them on Atlantic..but those are gnerally heading back to the city.
Down Atlantic Ave is a huge Target/Pathmark/Bath & Body/PC Richard. There is a Trader Joes on Atlantic and Court. Restaurants of all kinds and flavors all over. Same re bars!!
Can't go wrong if you find something that you like.
And the Fifi talent is some of the best in Bk!!!
