Thanks for the feedback. My posture is not usually that erect. I'm actually working on it... experiencing some back issues, related to driving 55,000 + Km's / yr.
I think I'll bring it to the tailor and see about letting it out slightly in the waist. As for the lapels... every single jacket I own bows in the lapels, with the exception of H&M cheapies, which have no construction at all. Not sure which part of my odd build causes this, but I have spend numerous sessions in different stores/tailors trying to nail it down. Even my recent MTM purchase has the issue to an extent.
Would love to know what causes this. Totally open to suggestion.
It could be a combination of your erect posture and a fuller/more muscular chest. I have this issue, which requires me to size up in jacket size in order to have the lapels lay correctly. This, however, results in excess fabric in the shoulder blades since I need extra fabric to cover my chest but do not need it for my back. I end up buying suits to fit my chest and having the tailor take them in at the back seam to try and get a good fit. Despos initially diagnosed the issue for me in a prior thread. From your pictures, could be what you are dealing with.
