Doubtful.
Nooooooooo
Can some experienced posters here elaborate more on the negative feedback regarding Indochino? I normally don't have many problems with the jackets (even OTR fits me OK) but I am quite picky with the pants. I normally wear tight and slim pants so I thought Indochino would serve me better. To be very honest, none of the styles at SS really satisfied me when it comes to the pants even after all the alternation (their jackets though fit exceptionally well).

I heard about the tailor option and am willing to consider it too. Can somebody suggest some tailors that have very fashion-forward and modern cuts in NY?

As someone who has had a couple of suits done by them (well, three; but I returned the last one), the reason that I won't go back is that, while the price point is ok, the inconsistencies in the tailoring made dealing with them quite a chore, although credit must be given to their service department for being pretty good to deal with at the time. The construction of the suits are not that great either (when I compare to other items that I have since purchased) such that I feel that there are better options out there.

Because there are such beautiful examples of perfectly fitting suits here: http://www.styleforum.net/t/52943/indochino-suits/

I bought a suit and tux from IC a few years back. While I was one of the lucky ones that had a decent experience without remakes, that suit has been slowly moving down the pecking order. Materials are (were) so-so, craftmanship is so-so. It's been nearly 3 years and I have not even thought of going back.

SS's own MTM program will probably give you better results. Or look at people like Kent Wang or Proper Suit. If you're looking for tailors in NYC then you obviously have access to tons of well regarded folks.

I am 5ft 9in, stocky build with wide shoulders and a belly. Just bought 46s size SS suit in Sevilla fit, which fits me well. The suit is great and I want to buy some more.

I understand that London fit is also relaxed in the waist but it's only available in plain navy which I find boring.

Which other SS fits are comparatively roomy in the belly area? Napoli?

Hi all,

I'm about to order a suit from Suitsupply online to give it a try, but I can't find any info on the website on packaging. I've never ordered a suit online before, and if someone here can comment on how the suits are packaged and in what condition they're usually delivered (minor creases... bad ones?) that would be helpful. Thanks

Thank for the insight. I definitely need to come in person and have the tailor done the measurements, so I guess Kent Wang is out of the question. I am thinking about Proper Suit. Can you suggest some more well regarded tailors in NYC? I am not looking for someone who is conservative with his cut. The more fashion-forward, the better.

Just received my Blue Plain Napoli suit in 38R today. The jacket fits and drapes nicely, but the pants are way too loose and baggy. I don't understand why they can't let you select pant sizes, but rather all their pants are -6" drop from the jacket size.

I can either tailor the pants and have the waist and seat taken in and the legs tapered, but I think I'd rather return them as that will cost a lot.

There are other threads on NYC tailors so I won't add anything else here. There is also a big KW thread with plenty of info on his process (hint: you don't actually measure before buying).

Like the whole SS concept and they have some decent stuff. Problem is their cut = sleeve pitch issues all over the place.

SuitSupply is solid. Like their business model. Kinda like Bonobos but really not.

I have never agreed more concerning any statement in my life than I do with this! lol

Yes, the sleeve pitch was off on the blue linen Copenhagen I bought--it was cut for zombie arms constantly held out in front of the torso. Keeping it anyway because everything else was pretty good and seeing what my tailor can do with it. And it fit much larger all around than the discontinued Copenhagen in the same size I had tried on at the store earlier. Sizing even in the same model/line is definitely inconsistent.
