Looking at this Boston jacket:
http://us.suitsupply.com/en_US/jackets/boston-blue-plain/C514.html?start=1&cgid=Jackets&prefn1=fit&prefv1=Boston

I don't think they had this particular model yet when I was there in August, or I just missed it. Anyone have any comments on the fit and quality of fabric? Fit pics? I'm very intrigued by the idea of an unconstructed DB, but I tried one on in an orange or red 100% cotton when I was there (can't remember if it was a Boston model or not), and the fabric was really stiff and did not drape well. Just trying to see if this might be better.

Has anyone bought anything recently ? I used quite a chunk of my christmas bonus on a bunch of stuff I ordered just after christmas. While my credit card was charged immediately, the order is still "in progress".. I contacted customer support via email the day before yesterday, but so far all. I have received is an auto reply. It might just be a holiday back log, but it is quite unlike what I have become accustomed to when dealing with them...

Probably just a holiday backlog. Most of holland is at a standstill around the holiday season.

Another reason might be that some items are out of stock/need to be shipped in from china.

Yes, this is probably the reason. Still, it is a bit annoying that they haven't given me any information at all..

I'm running at 4 days waiting for a reply from customer service, so, yeah...must be backed up and/or understaffed.

does anyone have experience with the fabric for the suit below? it’s a cotton/wool blend, the site says, "A lightweight summer suit in our Lazio fit, featuring its famed Italian shoulder and soft interlining, making this a comfortable choice. The grey fabric features a pinstripe and is made of wool and cotton by the Luigi Botto mill. Pair this suit with citrus coloured accents as done here with a yellow tie." Wanted to know about the feel of it and whether or not it wrinkles easily compared to pure wool? thanks Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Yoose,

Could you take some close up shots of the grey one? I have been eyeing that up since last year.

Thanks,

SP

I've bought a shirt on Jan. 2 and it was shipped the next day. Received it yesterday and I'm also in Europe. Just probably a combination of the holiday rush and understaffed. It might also be a problem with one or more items you bought, like Monkeyface pointed out.

I just saw on the website that my order was shipped this morning, so everything should be in order - although I never heard from their customer support. Looking forward to posting pics - especially of the Jort suit smile.gif

I've personally found calling their CS to be the best route.

A new tie from SS.

I have a new Lazio and Havana waiting for me at the tailor shop. Because of our recent snow storm, that dropped 17 inches of the pretty white stuff, I've unable to pick them up. Maybe tomorrow. Patience, patience...

i am suiting up my buddy and got him to buy a napoli suit in 42L. fits awesome, but sleeves are much too short (around 1.5 inches b/c of long ass arms). how much can the sleeves be lengthened on that thing?
i think he'd be willing to add a button if that's necessary for the surgeon cuffs. if that's the case, what does a tailor usually charge for adding a button?

Thanks!

I went to a very reputable tailor recommended by SF in the Dallas area (Cantus). Depending on the brand, I wear either a 40L or 40R. The 40R Napoli's sleeves were about 1 to 1.3 inches too short. He didn't recommend lengthening them, because the buttons were already functional. The buttons would have to stay where they are, and where the sleeves end and the buttons start would just look really bad.

So I'd look at going up a size or seeing if SS' other fits have longer sleeves.
