Ok, thanks, great info. Are the sleeve length short as in too short to even be alterable considering the open button holes?

Agreed. The SC just doesn't work..but the suit is quite interesting. Very sharp.

Size is 38L in the Washington cut.

You've got big balls, m'friend. You are at a sartorial precipice; you will either rock them, you will go down in flames, or they will linger and taunt you from your closet until you toss them on B&S.

You've been cad enough to step up to the plate, I look forward to seeing where you go from here. WAYWN awaits.

There was about 1/2"-3/4" that the sleeves could have been let out, but then there would have been an ungodly amount of fabric below the last buttonhole. I guess a fifth button could have been added, but that would look strange.

I tried on a 38L in the store when I was in NYC the other week, but I thought the length in the body was a bit too long. Shoulders and everywhere else fit well tho. I'm going to order a 38L and have another look. I'm just surprised that the sleeve lengths are so short in the R sizes. Very disappointed as I don't think my arms are that long.

Ok. Sounds like my usual problems with sizing jackets. Thanks again for the info and I've decided to just order two or three jackets in both 38R and 38L (98). The longer body in the 38L might be OK in the Copenhagen/Italia/Washington(half) since they look to be shorter to start with...

besides how strong the stripes are (a chalkier muted stripe is better), it accentuates your slimness which i dont think is a complimentary thing.
likewise the pattern and color on the SC isnt great... and the fit is doing no favor

buying things simply to have them, or because they are cheap, is a faulty approach. only buy and keep things you really cherish. i dont think these are it.

we'll reserve discussion on PS and shoes for another day

Does anyone have any info on the Washington D.C. store?  I have heard "summer 2012 opening" but was looking for something a little more specific.

^^^  I contacted customer support a couple months ago asking time frame.  Last I heard was end of July but i doubt they will be open before then.  Im thinking end of august.  Its gonna be in georgetown

FYI Chicago store is opening this Friday and is having an opening party. There is a link on the SS website with a live feed of the construction, pretty cool.

Do they have any plans of expanding to Canada specifically the Toronto area?

Just curious.

I'm 5.10 190lb's and wear a 42R.
I'm a bit concerned about what size I should get? The measurements that are posted on SS website for a 42R seem almost perfect for me, however, I read a post about a guy who's also normally a 42R getting a 38 and it fitting well!
Im looking to get at least 2-3 new suits from them... I guess I could just buy two sizes of each of them and return the ones that don't fit...
Thoughts?

Well, just received my first shipment of new suits!

Here are two shots of the different cuts. I'll try to post up better pictures when I get these home, as these ones are strait out of the box and taken in my office bathroom!

Sienna 42R

Napoli 42R

Both fit quite well out of the box. The Napoli is tapered in maybe a bit too much.

The quality of the Sienna is quite amazing!

I have not tried on the pants yet...

Sorry, I'm not sure why the pic's are sideways???

sleeves are too long, which sucks with the working button cuffs

Better to be too long than too short! But even with that, the length is pretty darn good for being OTR and right where it should be for a 42R
