Has anyone had any luck ordering an item from a different countries SS website that was not available in your country?

Damn, I was looking at buying the grey one too. Looks like that wont be happening.

Also, I dropped off my Napoli at the tailor and noticed that the chest and flap pockets aren't functional...is that normal? I'm pretty disappointed that I won't be able to use a pocket square as shown in the picture.

This is the suit in question http://us.suitsupply.com/suits/suit-grey-plain-napoli-p3457i/P3457I,en_US,pd.html?start=4&cgid=Suits

They are functional. They are just stitch sealed.

Thanks, I'll have to take another look when I get it back from the tailor. Excuse my ignorance, this is my first suit.

You're doing fine. I wish Styleforum had been around for me to stumble across before buying my first suit.

Does anybody else out there leave their main jacket pockets stitched closed? I've done so with my dinner jacket to keep them from ever sagging with age.

No, I like being able to put my hands in my pocket

The tailor should open them for you without asking.  If not, just tell him to do it.

I usually do with suits, but not sport coats. Never have a reason to use them on suits. I always open the breast pocket though.

Ditto.

However, I have kept them closed on my Soho jackets, because of the flapless pockets. I used to have a jetted pocket tux back at university and had a tendency to snag the pocket, twice tearing it open. Admittedly, the nature of events I wore that tux to may have contributed to the chances of random disaster, but since those days I've avoided owning such jackets until I found out the Soho fitted me really nicely in every other respect. So I compromise by leaving its pockets sewn shut. That way my clumsiness can't lead to disaster.

That's a shame, as you'll miss out on the ultimate #menswear pose, hand in DB pocket.

It's a painful trade-off, I know.

Are the E. Thomas wool cashmere blend jackets (C684 ans 5) poly free? Couldn't find anything with the search function. The C685 looks great...

Just thought I'd give people here a heads up seeing as its a captive audience! I'm putting up two washington 38R suits on the B/S tomorrow, both worn about 2 or 3 times each and in perfect condition. Models are in pics below, if you want them then just send me a PM with a reasonable offer.

So much info here, Sienna fits great in the shoulders but would like to stay within the Napoli price range. Napoli's shoulders don't fit as well. Could a tailor fix that or is it not worth all of the trouble?

How many blue havana jackets does SS need to have on the site?!?!?!:censored:
