How heavy is the jacket? Is it a true heavy jacket or could you see yourself wearing it year round?

It's not particularly heavy, I suppose you could wear it at least spring, fall and winter. But it might be too hot for summer, depending on where you live. Overall, I'm very pleased and thankfully there's no poly in the fabric (although there is a bit of linen along with the wool, cashmere and silk) and I think it looks much better in real life than on the website.

Which suit should I get? I'm doubting between the brown birdseye Soho, the pink Soho and the blue Madison. I could probably wear the brown soho and the blue madison as odd jackets, because of the birdseye fabric and the patch pockets, so they're more versatile. The pink does look very interesting, albeit less versatile. Bear in mind I already own a blue Soho and brown linen Soho.

Sorry for the less than stellar quality

Hey there,

The jacket is big on you, evidenced further by the vertical lines running down the back of your suit. If you don't want to size down, make sure to point this out to your tailor along with the sleeve issue.

You will want a little bit of cuff showing, so make sure to shorten the sleeves a little, just be aware that the functioning buttonholes make this more difficult and potentially expensive if he has to take it up from the shoulder. If you need any more feedback some better lighting and a few close ups of key areas would help us.

Kind Regards

Pants look fine and of course need to be shortened so that the break is standard. If you need any more feedback some better lighting and a few close ups of key areas would help us.

Sorry, iPad madness with the double post.

Kind Regards

Speaking of the pink soho- can anyone whos seen it describe the color? Is it light grey like on the website or does it have more pink in it?

Any news on F/W Sienna and La Spalla? Perceptions of new modells and materials used?

Contrary to other posters I don't think it looks big on you (though you shirt does look a little big in the neck).
Shorten the pants, shorten the sleeves 1-1.5cm and, if you want, let the tailor remove the rippling on the back. All in all, not too bad for of the rack.

I agree. I wouldn't judge from the first pic as you've got one arm raised and the wrinkling in the sleeve head is not a divot by my eye. Please see JeffreD's post on this in the Tailor's Tutorials. Divots have to do with too small of a arm hole and trying to fit something too large through it, which introduces a distortion and the dimpling.

It looks ok in the shoulders in the second pick and if the chest feels ok, then I don't see the fit as an issue chest/shoulders (the suit is a bit rumpled). Lots of the rest can be cleaned up, such as the back, with a good tailor. But honestly, your tailor, if good, will be able to tell you in person definitively about fit.

See also JeffryD's tutorial on what can be fixed, again in the excellent Tailor's Tutorial thread.

Can anyone tell me where the Boston fits in this list?

@Reginald - what the others say is true, sorry if I gave the wrong impression by saying the suit is too big. It's only big in those spots I mentioned, like between your should blades in the back.

The Boston fit is similar in measurements to the Washington fit. I have tried on both and you can find the exact jacket measurements on the size advisor.
