Now, the 46 is the one that feels like it fits the best. The length of the sleeves and jacket feel okay, the upper waist fits close to the body without any pulling on the button or at the back. The pants for the 46 are a bit the tight side, but okay (as I understand from reading previous posts here I can just have a tailor let the waistband out to fix this). While the fit of the shoulders feel right, I'm just concerned that they're just too narrow.

The 48 is in comparison longer in both the sleeves and jacket, and the body and shoulders are wider. The pants has a more comfortable fith though.

The 46 is the one I'm leaning towards, so is it the right fit? The 48 would need probably need a few alterations if I were to keep it. I'm fairly new in the game and thought I'd just ask. Any help and/or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Stix.

Size 46 below.

The 46 looks to fit you much better. Doesn't seem like you'll need a single alteration on the jacket.

The 46 looks really good on you. Jacket maybe a tad short, but that's just the Lazio fit, I guess. Which suit is that? This one: http://eu.suitsupply.com/anzüge/anzug-hellgrau-unifarben-lazio-p3516/P3516,de,pd.html?start=6&cgid=Suits&pmin=1&prefn1=styleFit&prefv1=Classic-Lazio&srule=Fit ?? Looks a lot darker in your pictures than on the site?

The 48 is a little more classic for the length. If you want that length, the silhouette is ok, but you could still taper a little bit further through the body. I agree that the 46 fits pretty well through the body. You'd just need to clean up the pants length.

No kidding.  I have a summer Jil Sander suit from their 'Tailor Made' line which is 50/50 cotton/poly.  Still a great suit.

I just received my Havana jacket in a 36r and it is a fairly nice fit. A bit roomy in the body and chest and not nearly as high an arm hole as expected. I want a look closer to the fit of the "video model" which is very clean and close to the body. As a comparison, mine looks a bit conservative. So, my question is whether I should drop to a 34 or try a different model to get the "sleek & casual" look. Washington half or Copenhagen? BTW, are the measurement listed on the site?
I am 5'9" 145.

I'm 5'9 and 150 lbs. I wear the Havana in a 36R and I'd agree that the fit (on me at least) is a fairly classic cut and not overly trendy (you can see pics here). I like the way it looks a lot, but if you really want to look like the models then sizing down might get you the skinny and cropped look that they show in their pictures. I'd be careful, though, especially if the shoulders fit you well as is. You can always take in the sides if that's the only issue. But yeah, I feel like their models squeeze into sizes below what they would normally wear.

I've posted it before, but here's my 36R Havana, no alterations:

Just putting this here in case anyone had any questions: I just picked up their peak lapel tuxedo for myself. I am a skinny guy and assumed the suit (sized down) would be a relatively close fit. (Note: I'm 5'10" and 135 lbs.) I usually wear a 36s, but I got a 34 per their size recommendation.

Ok thoughts and notes:

1. This tux is cut pretty classically. High arm holes and functioning buttonholes with a slightly notched in waist like their usual stuff, but that's about it after that. Their sizes come big in the shoulders (again, I sized down) and this still was a touch big for my tastes. Additionally, it is cut generously through, not only the torso but also the trousers as well. If the pictures and video somehow communicate a slim fit, you are being deceived somewhat. The jacket is longer and cut wider than usual.

2. The trousers have a higher rise than what I'm used to. I personally found it flattering in this context, but this sits just below my navel.

3. The lapels are pretty wide, but I can say that they look completely proportional with rest of the tuxedo. I was worried they would look silly, but they come off almost classic looking, if slightly wide for current fashion tastes.

I am writing this because I didn't really follow the fit description listed on the website and as I am in Seattle, I did not yet have the opportunity to try one out in person. Overall I'm pleasantly surprised with what I received for the price (sub $500) but I'll be needing not insubstantial alterations to make it presentable.

Final note that I see as a recurring pattern on this thread, but size down unless you are fat and need the extra room in the chest. These things run wide (compared to similarly fashion conscious brands I purchase OTR from J.Crew, Ralph Lauren and Club Monaco).

I'll probably post before and after pictures once I get the alterations completed.

Cheers!

Your jacket is more shapely than mine. Nice fit. I think I am going to need the 34, though. Thank for the input.

I just ordered a sienna suit in blue and got i yesterday, I followed their size guide and measured as best I could, but now I am a little uncertain if I got the right size, the pants fit quite well (bit long in the legs) but is Is the jacket to small? or would it be okay if I just let it out waist? Any comments would be helpful

I am 181cm (5'11'') 83kg (182lbs) this is a Sienna in 50 (40R).

Also I have been lurking for quite some time and this is my first post I just signed up to today

Could be your posture, but it doesn't look to me like the pants fit you all that well. Look at all the bunching in the back. Hemming may take care of some of that, but definitely not all. And yes, the jacket is definitely too small. I would try a 42 before committing to this one.

Ordering this guy this weekend. Anyone have any reviews on it? Good suede? I'm pairing it with my Carmina Snuff Suede and Navy Suede loafers. The color may be slightly off but I believe it's close enough to work.

If any OTR jacket fit me like that, I'd never ever ever go MTM. Lucky. I read your review a long time ago, which is what got me in to SS. Unfortunately, their SC's don't fit me the way I'd want.. I was so sad.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

It's not draping very well through the body which means to me that it's tight. You also have some major collar gap going on. But I don't feel like the shoulders are too bad width-wise. The pants are probably unhemmed which is why the are long. Probably should try the next size up but you still might have the gap, and the arms could be too long.

Let me know how you feel about it being close enough. I'm about to order a pair of knock-around Herring brown suede and will also need a belt.

Yussir. SS is limited on sizes. I'm sizing down one. I believe belts should hit the 3rd notch. This one will be hitting the second. Boo hoo.
