Does anyone have the Blue Summer coat J225 (Outerwear) in cotton/linen and would like to say something about it?

How's the fit? Is it thin enough for the summer?

How do their cuts fit on someone with an erect posture? Most RTW suits I try have a significant roll behind the collar, sleeve puckering, and flaring front quarters. Best fit I have accomplished is a BB Fitzgerald whose entire back was lifted at the top seam.

shit pic, but pleased with the fit.

I'm about to pull the trigger on the Napoli Navy Pinstripe (http://us.suitsupply.com/suits/suit-navy-pinstripe-napoli-p1105-jd/P1105-JD,en_US,pd.html?start=60&cgid=Suits)

Could anyone post a length of the back of the Napoli suit in a 38R?

The suit mentioned above has a measurement of 30.7 inches but other Napoli suits in a 38R are listed as 29.9 inches.

example: http://us.suitsupply.com/suits/suit-blue-plain-napoli-p3458i/P3458I,en_US,pd.html?start=3&cgid=Suits&prefn1=fit&prefv1=Napoli&prefn2=fitID&prefv2=Notch%20Lapel&prefn3=color&prefv3=Blue&srule=Color

I'm interested if the length is 29.9 but 30.7 is much too long for my taste.

Thanks in advance for anyone who has one in his collection!

Soft shoulders.. like it.. but as usual, all the S.S's that I see have problems with sleeve pitch..overall real nice, lol

Anyone in Toronto have their jackets that I could try on? Size 36-38R (shoulder approx 17.2") I don't have a clue how their fits will look on me, and no opportunity to visit a store in the next 3 months. I'll buy you a coffee smile.gif

bateman, the lapels are bowing a lot, maybe consider going up a size or letting out the chest?

I asked Suitsupply for more measurements, here you go:
Blue summer coat (J225)
Shoulderwidth: S: 47 cm, M: 48 cm
chest: S: 54cm M: 56 cm
waist: S: 53,5, M: 55,5 cm
Bottomwidth S = 56 cm, M = 58 cm
Back length: S: 77 cm, M: 78 cm

1/2 chest width on 54 cm is quite large, so I think that if you wear a 38R the small size will be big enough.

Hi everyone - first post on here after lurking for a few weeks.  Knowledgeable and entertaining bunch you are.  Thanks for all of your help so far.

Anyway, inspired by this thread I went down to the Soho suitsupply and picked up a Blue Stripe Sienna 38R (http://us.suitsupply.com/suits/suit-blue-stripe-sienna-p3502i/P3502I,en_US,pd.html).  I have a sort of unique body type with a chest that really measures for a 37...so this typically puts me in a 38R so that the pants fit.  This is the route I went with the Sienna and unfortunately, after three rounds of tailoring (once to tighten the waist on the jacket, then to let it out a bit, and then to tighten it again), I'm just disappointed with the fit.  There's just something about it that doesn't feel right.  Will post pics later, but I'm considering trying another tailor to see if they can help...a shame to drop $700+ on a suit that I don't love.

I was impressed enough with their service though that I ended up getting a Light Grey Napoli, but this time in a 36R.  The jacket fits like a glove...I love it.  Going to have to have the pants let out to the max, and they still may end up not being perfect, but I think they'll be close enough and I just love the fit on the jacket. (http://us.suitsupply.com/suits/suit-light-grey-plain-napoli-p3521i/P3521I,en_US,pd.html?start=18&cgid=Suits&prefn1=fit&prefv1=Sienna%7cNapoli)

So my question though...is this light grey color inappropriate for a professional/office (media sales) setting?  When viewing online I wasn't worried but now trying it on, it might only work at a summer wedding.  But then again, you go with what you like, right?

Thanks all.

Perfectly appropriate.

Hi

Picked up this Washington Half jacket from the London Store. I wear 38 in M&S and medium in Uniqlo sport coats (this is really my first mid-range sport coat). I had to get a 40 in the Washington as the 38 was too slim in arms, body, chest and shoulders. The 40 fits perfect in the upper body, still being slim but not restrictive.

I'm really pleased with the fit but the shoulders might be a tad wider than I'm used to on the Uniqlo sport coats, as the shoulders on those are completely deconstructed. Does the jacket look too big? I got the Washington as a longer jacket to wear with wool trousers at work, being sharp but yet still relatively conservative compared to something like the Copenhagen.

I threw it on over what I had on already so ignore the rest.

Not easy to see if the jacket is too big when you don't have your hands down so we can see the length.
