CousinDonuts....

 

What type of build are you that got the napoli to fit so well?  Im 6'3 about 170 in a 40L and worry the napoli might have to much excess fabric/ the tailor might not be able to make it "fit" the way i am looking for it to...

i'm really interested in their blazers, especially since they have size 35 as 36 is usually a little too big for me =\ has anyone tried their Copenhagen fit though? it's less structured but doesn't say slim fit or anything.

I'm about the same size, 6'3 180 and the 40L napoli had shoulders too big for me, the 38L sleeves a bit too short and chest too tight. The Lazio fit me, IMO, but I couldn't imagine going any tighter at all. Depending on where your 10lbs comes off compared to me, you could do the 38L napoli or 40L lazio.

Makes me nervous, I am typically a 38. I am wondering if I should purchase a 36 and 38. I would hate to have to deal with returning all these suits.

Aside from the balance sitting on your card for a few days, the process is dead simple. They give you a very nice box and a return UPS label. Just throw the suit back in the box and throw it out the side of your car while passing a UPS store (ok you have to go in, but for about 5 seconds).

I was just about to pull the trigger for a Copenhagen sportcoat but then I noticed the sizing table that for a EU46 (US36) the waist measures 80cm (31.5in) which is much slimmer than any of the slim fit sportcoats I have. The EU48 says 84cm waist (that I also think is really slim) but then the chest starts to get big. To feel comfortable in waist I guess I would end up in sz EU50 or even 52 but then everything else will be way off. I am not athletic built but definitely slim so I think the measurements seems strange. Has anyone tried a copenhagen sportcoat to give some input on how slim it is (mainly in the waist area since the other measurements seem ok?

I'm usually in between 36 and 38 and this fit well in the shoulders and wasn't too slim in the waist. It's a little short. I think their measurements are off in this model since it's unstructured. I'd say order both and return what doesn't fit.

6'1", 155ish. Built like a long distance runner with some soccer player mixed in. Square shoulders. I too worried about cutting so much fabric. I voiced that concern to my tailor as he was pinning and he thought it was fine. I think it turned out pretty well.

I didn't post pics but I ordered the 36 and 38r too. I'm 5'11" 145 lbs with a 31 waist. The 36r was tight in the shoulders and I didn't find the 38r too slim in the waist. Btw, I emailed SS for the shoulder measurements and their's were much slimmer than what I got. Good luck.

Just to confirm, these suits are half-canvassed right?

Each model has a description attached to it online that specifies what the construction is. It may vary jacket to jacket, I don't know. The Lazio is half, that I'm sure of.

I believe all the suits $469 and up (blue line I think) are half canvassed.. the suit up line ($639 and up) are half canvassed up as well but have more hand made details.. the shoulders is handmade and the sleeves are hand basted I believe.. so with the suit up line you are getting more hand work being done..the $369 full suits and down are fused..

All RTW suit models of Suitsupply are half-canvassed, except the Sevilla cut (which is fused, sometimes available in their summer collection). This is not dependent on pricing.
