Custom made shirts from suit supply.

I was in the Soho suit Supply store about 9 months ago.
I took a quick look at the custom shirt program.
at the time, i was told the shirts were being made in portugal.
the workmanship was solid.
the fabric was mostly from a quality mill in India, that I buy from.
so for the price in a retail store, I could not complain about quality vs price.

A customer came i yesterday with a suitsupply shirt he had made recently.
the garment seemed to have the Same indian fabric, but the shirt was made in Viet Nam.
the workmanship on this garment was not even close to the shirt made in portugal.
The fusing in the collar was well done.
but the stitching on the body was not good. for the $190 cost.
for $100-125 i would not even bother to make these comments.
But the quality vs price ratio for this made in Viet Nam shirt is not very high

I can't comment on fit as the customer did not try the shirt on for me.

Any comments guys? I'm also used to slimmer fit suits and this one seems large on me.

Very decent fit for off the rack..you have a slight pitch on the sleeves and the skirt of the jacket is a little tight on your hips which is causing the flare of the vents.. also you may need to clean up the upper back a little as well.. maybe by taking in the back a little..the pitch of the pants is not perfect.. its okay but I get that with their suits a lot and unfortunately there is nothing that can be done. Still very good fit with some problems that are very fixable..

If you decide to return it I'll buy it from you full price! My size and the db looks exactly like what Ive been looking for!

Thanks! Does anyone know how heavy the wool is? I want to wear it as a sportscoat with chinos or jeans, but on the pics on the website it looks like an orphan sc

doesn't look right to me, too. Could be the crap pics, though. Suitsupply should really consider putting better pics on their website.

They are releasing more sizes (34R and 36S) and are currently in the process of updating their site.

I actually like it a lot. I have the blue Napoli as well as a Grey/White Pinstripe and wanted to get an other staple suit in the New Year for my new marketing position at Pearson International Airport. Probably would be safer to get the grey Napoli though..

I emailed SS about ordering a 40 jacket but a 36 pants like I did with my blue Napoli. One of their reps told me you could only do that with a couple of their suits but I will wait for a response from them for confirmation. 

 

Edit: Could anyone tell me which of their SC fits is closest to the Napoli?

new models or only stocking up the old ones?

 

as far as I can tell, they are only releasing the new sizes on their newer models, and it appears lots are already sold out (navy plain Napoli in size 34R for example)

meh...

But I think in February they will start realsing S/S 2013

but do they have sales or a "good time" to go in and get a suit?

i'm in chicago, and would like to see/try them on in person.

 

if not, it won't kill me as the price seems on par/better with jcrew ludlows which is the style i'm looking for.

No there is not really, their prices are good as standard and they don't seem to have sales. They do reduce some stock though if you go in store.
