@leonrehman I would just undo the last (or 2 last) sleeve buttons because from this angle, it looks like they sit a bit too close to the sleeve edge. No biggie, other than that small nitpick, it looks pretty good!

What did you think of the suit in person?

Has anyone else based in the U.S. run into problems purchasing a suit from Europe?  I was previously able to purchase a suit and have it shipped to France, but it no longer allows me to do so.  My brother-in-law is in Amsterdam, and I am buying him a jacket and it each time I hit "checkout" it removes the option.  I have the shipping option selected to The Netherlands and even created an account with an Amsterdam shipping address.  Any guidance would be appreciated.  Thanks!

I agree, newbie error! In future will shorten sleeve from the shoulder, very much worth the extra cost!

Still worth it regardless. A lovely suit once tailored

I am also in the process of getting this coat fitted. Wool cashmere blend incredible. Unfortunately no 40s in this coat, had to opt for a regular 40.

This means I had to:

- Shorten sleeves from the shoulder AS WELL as shortening slightly at the bottom

- Replace lining in the sleeces

- take in at the waist

Everything else was pretty perfect though. They said it will be ready in a week! Hope they bring this coat out again in camel, missed it last year!

What sort of pricing do you both factor into the equation when undergoing such a drastic alterations job? I'd be looking at going from a 37" waist to a 30-31"...which strikes me as a major endeavor, not to mention the needed changes to the jacket.

Personally I am willing to pay up to an extra £100 - taking into account I need to shorten sleeves from the shoulder as well as the wrist

On your madison suit, you shortened the sleeves from the shoulder and wrist, decreased waist of the pants, shortened the length of the pants, suppress the waist. Right there, that should be close to $175.

Just curious, what is the reason that you would shorten from the end of the sleeve and the shoulder? Sorry if I missed this already

Looks good!  Do you mind saying what your dimensions are (height, waist, etc.) and what size you took in this suit?

I didn't shorten from shoulder only from sleeve in hindsight I should have shortened from shoulder. I'm from a city where that are not tailors skilled enough to shorten from shoulder

Ya, the severity of tailoring required plus my affinity for absurdly high rise pants means I will likely only be using SS for SC and perhaps accessory related goodies.

Thanks. I'm 5'9/65kg and this is 34R. I normally take a 36R but I found the arm holes on the 36R to be quite low causing a lot of excess fabric through the back. The pants were also a mess so I decided to keep the 34R and let out the waist on both the jacket and the pants. Hope that helps.
