Berlin suit resources

Hello SF experts,

Newbie post, please be gentle! My dear boyfriend is going is going to be on German tv soon - exciting! - and needs to buy a suit while in Berlin. He knows next to nothing about what makes a decent, well-fitted suit, but that's why I'm doing a bit of research for him. I have dutifully researched sizing and fitting options, but can anyone recommend good places to buy for off the rack suits in Berlin? Thank you kindly!

Not a city I recall mention of on SF - have you tried the search function which might be best. Failing that are there any up market chains which might carry reasonable brands and have an ability to make minor alterations. However don't leave it too late, trying the day before the appearance will not work unless you are very lucky - that would suggest try and home and then wear when there.

Thanks very much! We have a bit of time left, but not enough to get a bespoke suit made so a decent place that can do a few alterations (my bloke is quite slim and long-torsoed) would be perfect. Will keep digging through the forum archives!

You could also try Bernhard Roetzel's blog.

Good luck.
