Hey, do they still have "The Red Onion" in LA? That's my image of a downtown LA bar, or something on Skid Row maybe. Guess things have changed.

Never been to Hop Louie. I think Bradford should see Hollywood at its finest ala Jumbo's. Nothing but class. Off topic, but have you been to Wood and Vine yet, Baron? A friend took me last month and I was rather surprised. The bar is rather nice and has a pretty patio in the back. The crowd is typical of that area, though, and the menu is trendy but still worth checking out if in the area. Had the chicken and waffles and the salted butterscotch for dessert; both were good if overpriced. Cocktails were good, too. I typically avoid places like that since the majority lack any substance or character but this was a nice surprise that side of Hollywood.

Jumbos is fun. Wish the girls had more ass. Anyone go to Cheetah's? I've heard Courtney Love used to dance there.

Only during daylight hours, for lunch, preferably. If that's your destination at night, you've got problems.
Depends on how poorly the night went at Jumbo's. Last time it was definitely a Jumbo's AND Cheetah's night.

I actually hadn't even heard of it. I've actually had dinner in that neighborhood twice in the past couple of weeks before a movie at the Arclight but we ate at Los Balcones del Peru both times. I'll put Wood and Vine on the to-try list.

How is Los Balcones? After eating Peruvian here in CR I realized just how shitacular Peruvian was back home. I'm actually going out tomorrow to a place for lunch. I'll show you what I mean.

Los Balcones is good but I don't have a huge frame of reference. It's a nice place to drop in before a movie for some small dishes and a drink. I haven't had a full meal there but I've liked it enough to come back a few times. I did have a meal at Mo-Chica down by your alma mater and it was great.
