Not a solution but may make your viewing less interrupted - start the video then pause it and let it load for a while. Once the red bar progresses what you deem to be a reasonable amount, then view the video and it should continue to load the video enough that you never get that pause. I usually do this when I'm on a slow connection.

Absolutely. Only have a 2 Mbit connection and streaming 480p or 720p is real pita. But on the other hand there are some clips which load SO slow, it seems to have something to do with Youtube itself.

do they cap your bandwidth? i find that when i download/stream a ton of stuff throughout the week, my internet will slow down significantly afterwards...

Happens to me at airports, hotels, other places with crappy connections. At home and work it never happens.

Hmm, found an interesting Greasemonkey script that seems to help out a lot. Assuming you're using Firefox...

First, install Greasemonkey
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir.../greasemonkey/

Restart Firefox

Next, install the Autobuffer script
