Gotta get an order rolling now for the winter. Both are 18oz. Harris tweeds.

If you replied neither, alternative options (only in Harris) would be appreciated.

Love brown for tweed...

[x] both. It's not like you wouldn't get use out of them.

If you don't have a Harris B&W or gray or blue-gray herringbone, get that. That is the iconic Harris pattern.

Thanks. I already own a blue-gray herringbone in Harris. This will be my second Harris coat.

I feel the same. However, if I had to pick just one it would be the blue.

Ok, between these two I prefer the brown, but for myself I would rather have that pattern in Shetland.

the blue is an absolute delight; but, I'm a sucker for blue

The colour that best compliments your skin tones and lifestyle is the one you should buy.
After this, if both are equal and you still can't decide, then let it be the one that expands your wardrobe.

The brown is nice, but there's something about the blue! cheers

That blue is killer.

The orangeish brown. That's a surprisingly versatile color.

Blue, but I'm projecting my own needs onto this vote.

Finally, a discussion worth having!

I vote for the brown. Combining blue, a more city, formal color, with Harris tweed, the most hairy and rustic of tweeds, strikes me as very dissonant. Donegals look better in blue--but then I must admit to being biased, as I own such a jacket.

Also, the brown appears to have a lot more of the mottled, multi-colored depth that makes Harris tweed so special. The blue is a lot more flat looking.

The blue is herringbone in technique while the brown is not, right? It seems to me, though, that the blue is a little cleaner with not as much of a "halo" of fibers above the material which thus makes it a little cleaner looking.
