I give up, I turn to the experts to help finish an outfit

So I have a couple of outfits that are darker in color, take for example the attached picture. The green is a tad darker than the camera shows, and it also has some really fine black lines running through it. I generally pair it with a black t-shirt (not sure if V or crew is better).

I get a ton of compliments on the shirt, but have gotten mixed feedback on what jeans/shoes to put with it, after struggling with this for several weeks and doing way too much unproductive shopping, I put it up to you guys.

Do I go with a medium wash jean so the whole outfit isn't dark or stick with the classy dark wash look?

As far as shoes, brown probably looks ridiculous, I've put some white jack purcells with it and that seemed to work, but are there some black shoes that would work with it. I want to keep it a bit on the casual side and I know that black is generally best for a more formal look, what do you guys think...any shoe suggestions in particular, shoes are always the toughest for me.

I don't know dude, you're over thinking it. You can wear that shirt with anything, but I'd lose the undershirt.

That shirt is ugly.

Ha, the hate on the shirt is surprising. Its by far my most complimented article of clothing (and no that doesn't imply that the rest of my wardrobe sucks ) and I really like it myself as well.

If I wanted to put it with a pair of black shoes, can anyone point me in the right direction? Black converse seem a bit too casual, but I'm not sure what is in between converse and a dress shoe.

that shirt could look ok if it was more fitted.

Nah cause then the pockets would be doing weird things and it would look bad. OP if you can't put on a grey shirt I don't know what to tell you. Oh, right: Don't worry about 'dressiness', no one gives a shit; no, black isn't a 'dressy' color; yes. Chucks are fine. You're in high school, right? Don't worry too much about how you look. And don't wear an undershirt, it looks bad.

That shirt is meant to be casual and it is still a very ugly shirt. You only get compliments on it because it is kind of different from what everyone else is wearing. I'm in high school and whenever I wear a tie... even some average J Crew tie, people compliment me on it.

re: undershirt Depends on how much the OP sweats. I'd rather see an undershirt than pit sweat. Maybe he should get a deeper V-neck from AA, though, if he wants to wear it unbuttoned like that (after all, you unbutton so you can see your manly chest, not your undershirt, right?). Or better yet, just wear it completely unbuttoned...
