I´ve just finished my second year of a law degree and have a final year to attend then i´m hopefully done by this time next year. However, I´ve seriously been considering doing some investment financially and physically on a project I´ve been meaning to start up for the past 2/3 years. The project itself is a small mens accessories brand but the question is: should I wait until my actual degree is finished to avoid any distractions? Or is the time now to get involved, especially now that I have a decent 2 months summer break to freely work on the structure, but I know that if I get stuck in i´ll not stop and continue even during the study period.

Why the hell did you go to law school if you want to make a startup? You probably need to spend the summer working in a law job if you want any hope of being hired. I assume your parents are paying for the school and thus you don't have any debt?

Well, I study in the UK and if your not acquainted with the education system, My fees wont have to be paid for until after graduation and until I reach a certain income level thus not requiring my parents to pay for the school

. Anyway the answer to your question as to why I study law if I want a ´startup´ is simple, not everybody who studies law needs to be a lawyer! Eventhough for the past two years I have been ´shadowing´ various lawyers here in London so my references are looking good if ever I require them I still have a interest in taking up business.

Yep, I know nothing about the UK law school system. Perhaps the legal job market isn't so harsh there. I was simply pointing out that fresh off of acquiring 100k debt would not be a good time to start a business. Glad to hear that isn't the case.
