US Number VoIP Overseas - Providers?

I'm moving overseas in a little under two weeks.

Can anyone recommend a voip system that I can bring overseas so that I can have a US number? I heard about magicJack but I've seen a lot of bad reviews on Amazon.com.

An ideal system would be something that plugged into a router. Is there anything like this? If not, it's okay.

Using magic jack for about two years in Moscow without any problems at all. As long as you have a decent connection it should be all good.

I have Vonage, I don't really like it though....they have bad customer support. I've used out of the country. Bought ooma for my parents, its pretty good so far. Both plug into a router. The Ooma goes in line between the modem and router (recommended setup). my Vonage does too..but the newer ones I don't think you need to do that. don't like Magic Jack, it seems like a hassle and has to be connected to a computer. FWIW I use Skype with a call-in number. However if I were to move out of the country I'd go with an OOMA.

Thanks for the advice guys. I chose Ooma Telo. Got the box for $184.99 on Amazon. I'd have gotten magicJack, but it requires a computer to be on. Ooma is cheaper in the long run than Vonage also.
