Raw Denim Stains

After my recent acquisition of raw selvedge denim, I realized that it does, indeed stain things. I dont really care about t-shirts and handkerchiefs, but I would like to know if there is a way to get rid of indigo dye rubbing off on white before I decide to wear a nice white dress shirt with it.

Is there a way to get rid of these stains, or even prevent them?

1 year 4 months and 325 posts later and you never noticed the stickied denim thread at the top?

Probably not...

Looked at the pinned thread, but could only find threads saying that yes, it would rub off, without ever addressing how to get it off.

How about an eraser or any of the other recommendations from the threads that pop up after googling "indigo stains?"

Something as simple as Zout gets the stains out pretty well, even worked on leather sneakers

not really. i usually wash my raw denim twice before i wear it and that does take care of a lot of excess bleeding, but i still get some. usually, they will stop bleeding after about 2 - 3 weeks of wear. this can vary though. what jeans did you get? i might be able to confirm. in terms of washing off the stain, it will be difficult but not impossible. on shoes and things like that the bleed will eventually fade away with wear, most of the time.

wear whites with my raws all the time and it hasn't been a problem, but if you think it will be wear some darker colors for the first little bit till some bleeding comes out, then start wearing your whites.. and just wash your shirts after if anything does get on haha
