Since there was a thread about places where you went and want to re-visit, I thought that it would be fun to have a thread about places where you regret visiting. If you can specify the reason why it ruined your vacation, please feel free to tell us.

I have traveled a lot in the US and I like most of the places there. However, there aret towns such as Gary, IN and South of Chicago that I wish I had never gone.

I'm not sure about Kuala Lumpur. Lived there for 6 months, which allowed me to see past the pretty buildings and nice weather - Malaysia's a corrupt and hypocritical country. And in a different way than Thailand, it's the moralizing that gets me.

When I read this thread title, Gary was the first place that came to mind. I'll also second the poster who said Cancun.

Baltimore. Other than crab all the food is terrible, and I kept finding syringe caps in the tourist areas.
