Perhaps this was for personal gain? Hef appears younger, at least in spirit, being able to attract a young, hot babe. She gets the benefit of open doors to the entertainment industry. Now they go their own ways having benefited from the publicity and both are happy.

Crys probably can get into the adult entertainment movie business easy and she dont need to be Hef's ex or gf to do that.
