Thumbs down on the phantom pocket.

Don't like those pockets. Look like ostentatious pick stitching that sone gauche RTW brand would do. On that liverano one, I would tell them to redo, I couldn't wear that. Manton's is not so bad but still.

I think they're fine if that's what you're going for and no what you're getting into. But couldn't one have the pocket just dangling about on the interior of the jacket in an unlined jacket without having it stitched? I'm not a tailor, but it doesn't seem like something too difficult and is something I've considered asking for on a future commission.

My two grays also have it. You can't see it at all on the nailhead and on the solid gray it's visible but barely. The tan shows it the most and the pic is flash, which highlights it. In normal light, I doubt most people would notice.

+1 Subtlety is key!

However, I think this particular detail lends well to Liverano & Liverano since Antonio cuts his jackets without the front dart. I feel its overkill if there was the front dart as well.

Not a fan of the phantom pocket.

Solito's phantom pocket is far more innocuous than the Liverano specimens. I any event, I quite like it.
