Haha, def old news. Back in the day when Hedi was at Dior and you couldn't find skinny, or even slim, guy's jeans off the rack (at least not on a college budget), my friends would buy women's jeans to copy the DH look. Can't imagine why that's still happening now though. It's not like it's hard to find them anymore...
This started up like 5 years ago. Everything made for men was baggy, so men were purchasing female cuts. Now the majority of men's denim has slim/skinny variety, no need to.
A while back I walked into a GAP store desperate for a pair of inexpensive slim pants (can't remember what for). The SA tried convincing me that I should buy some women pants because they are cut slim. She said, "yeah lots of guys come in and buy women's pant for this reason". I said, I don't care what other guys do, I'm not buying women's pants.
