I've just stared a website where I will be selling silk neckties online. I would like to hear any feedback you guys have before I start advertizing. I'm worried it might not be easy enough to use.

Website: www.benmanhirefashion.com

Thanks

Around here word of mouth is king. Get a few ties into the right people's hands. If they're good ties, people will likely start asking around. I find the way you display your ties in the splash screen on your site very compelling.

The lady certainly has some added value. You may also want to see how some SF members recently started DC Lewis:

At first I figured it was , But after looking at the site I must say that it is actually pretty nice. Those ties look nice too. If i was in the market for a tie I'd consider ordering one.

Can never beat Sam Hober, though.

I don't really see them as a direct competitor. They seem to do a lot of pattern, whereas Hober does mostly solids and grenadines.

Fair enough.

Those are some pretty nice looking ties.

OP, would you be able to comment on the difference between Thai silk and other kinds? I've bought ties in Thailand before and they seemed to have a different texture/sheen to other silk ties I have.

At 2 for $40 with free shipping, they're not competing on price either.

Yeah. I'd figure thetiebar is probably their closest useful benchmark.

Because of the large number of hits i've gained from style forum I thought I'd offer you all a discount option for a limited time only.

If you wish to buy a tie from me, I'll offer you a 20% discount.

Just type in 20off in the discount coupon box on the checkout page and continue to paypal. The discount should register on the bill before you click pay on paypal.
