rikod, it might be helpful if you get 1 or 2 additional holes punched so as to wear the shoes a little looser in the instep. If the shoes fits comfortable everywhere else, buckling them a little loose might just do the trick, akin to tying the laces a little looser. Hope this helps. Your shoes look great, btw.

Agreed, I like how those look a lot more than my C&J Monktons (color is more rich as well)

are there wide sizes available for any of the styles?

Thanks, I forgot to mention that I have them buckled in the middle hole so I still have one available to loosen them up (see the pic below in a better angle), but if I do that the piece of leather across the vamp (the straight border right before the strap/buckle area starts) doesn't keep his straight shape and bends sharply upward and it doesn't look or feel good, maybe I have space to punch an additional hole between the two, or just continue using to see if they loosen up a bit. I will see.

How do I explain the necessity to my wife?

i find the best way to explain, is to have them shipped to the office and sneak them into the house.

I emailed and PMed the guys at DC Lewis about a week ago, and no response.  Does anyone know if they're away?

I was interested in knowing, if they will have some new models that are not pre order only available soon.
