Not taken over... just really impressed with a quality product at a more than quality price. Also, one of the coolest cats on the forum. I love supporting homegrown SF businesses - Vanda Fine Clothing, The Armoury, Panta, DC Lewis... because these are guys you shot the shit with every day, as we are now - and now they can provide you product that you want. Really good stuff, and I am happy to be a part of it.

Bump. I agree, it would appear that the guys who started their businesses here on SF seem to put out quality products as well.

I did not know the armoury was started by SF members, I assume they started it after they joined?

Also, was Kent Wang started through SF? I think it's awesome he sells the Clayton on his website!

Wish that shoe came in black.

Finally succumbed and ordered Porter in Navy. When will the next MTO orders be taken? I am interested in something in the Mottled Siena, other than the Clayton. Thanks

Does anybody know when they'll be taking orders for shoes again? Do they keep existing stock, or is everything on a made-to-order basis. Emailed them but they've not responded.

Thanks Matthew, I am on the road but I will be replying to emails every evening. Apologies for the delay. To answer the question, I will be moving towards more stock inventory with multiple choices down the road. There will be a few MTO models a few times a year. Thanks

Do you still do MTO if there are five or more orders?

I cannot wait for the double monks in suede biggrin.gif

David, I know you are out and about. Would the same trees in plain cedar be a better option? These lacquered ones are GREAT!

It makes me sad when this forum doesn't have new posts. Anyone know if orders went in/ where they are with them stirpot.gif

I've never been interested in monk straps before but I'm totally loving some of the styles you guys are rocking here and I'm seriously considering buying a pair of Clayton's or Matthew's (the wallet says damn you SF!) Basically, I have a really narrow foot and I'm worried about them fitting me good as there is only two holes on the strap. I assume sizing down half a size to a full size should do the trick?
Another idea may be if someone could recommend a similar style that I may be able to try on in London tomorrow. Guess I'm just wary about placing an order for shoes online without trying them on.
Thanks in advance for your help.

If it helps, I have narrower feet too and go half size down in monks.... 7.5 in Jermyn III, 8 in City II

I am one of your followers here, but could you pls for a moment leave your SF camaraderie with DCL aside and comment on how they compare with 3x their price JL's in overall quality and appearance IRL
