Yeah, I always wonder this about marrying rich girls. Are you expected to support her lifestyle solely with your meager salary? Or do you instantly get access to the family coffers?

Be real with the girl. Stop anticipating her expectations. She will have a greater respect for you if you are honest with her and stop trying to compete with her father. Continue this and she will surely dump you. You are a student, behave like one (fiscally) and start building on your relationship. Just my thoughts good luck...

This sounds like hell to me. Trying to live beyond your means to impress a girl is one of the biggest wastes of time I can think of. If you really like her, tell her how you feel and that, being a student, you don't have a lot of money. If she's not down with that, tell her she can GTFO and you won't miss her. Period.

I always thought that you go and work for her dad where he pays you well enough to support her for you doing basically nothing but screwing his daughter. Atleast that's how it worked for me

Anyway, for 2 students to splurge like that in UK is absurd and you know it. But for her, she can afford it and obviously you cant'. You are batting way above your average.

If you think this is bad, wait till you get more attached and she wants the frigging Aspen ski holiday, the penthouse in Mayfair, the country manor lifestyle, the Bentley to drive her to work etc. Bail out while you can and engage in some dumpster diving. That can be more fun really.
