Thoughts on this John Varvatos Duffle

Picked it up for $150 with tax today. Thoughts? Also how good are John Varvatos bags in general quality wise? Bag feels pretty well constructed although the zipper is a bit iffy.

I'm 21 and the bag would be for mostly casual use / travel.

Don't know why you choose that one when you could have went with red or the rock n roll. I do like the print you picked when on the brown leather tote.

They had those two bags as well (although the Rock N Roll was in red) but I prefer to have the handles and kinda wanted the Rock N Roll one as well but don't really need either.

Any word on quality from people who have had JV bags for a while?

Bags and leather accessories are new to the Star USA line. So I can't speak on it since this is only the third season max with them. The regular JV bags are solid but priced pretty high for what you are getting.

Don't know what you expect. They're a fashion brand, not a bag brand.

Yeah I know just don't want the bag to be busted after a year of use or so.

I can't speak to their canvas bags, but I have a leather Varvatos weekend bag that is an absolute tank. I've been tossing it into cabs and kicking it under airline seats all over the world for over two years now and it appears to be completely indestructible.

That said, the bag you chose looks like it fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. So I hope it at least holds up well for you.
