Gym Bags - Page 2

My current bag is a fifty-five liter World Sport Comp bag by Ogio. It's about 30" long, has pockets on each end and a wet pocket in the cover flap.

Right now I have three racquetball rackets, two pairs of shoes, two pairs of shorts, two pairs of socks, two or three t-shirts, a pair of UnderArmor compression shorts, several bags of racquetballs, a towel, several sweatbands, and a golf towel. In one end pocket I have my goggles and racquetballs; in the other end pocket: soap, shampoo, deodorant, and a hair brush (which I hardly need).
I particularly like the ability to separate the shower and exercise equipment in the end pockets.

Amazing.

This site is nothing but dandies obsessing over the details that determine whether this or that item is absolutely the best that money can buy.

Yet when it comes to gym bags, most of us on this thread don't give a shit. And those of us who do give a shit get abused.

Me? I live a block from my gym. I come from home carrying a pair of running shoes, socks, a shirt and shorts and fresh undies and I'm all set. No bag. But that's only because I haven't bothered to look for one. But it will probably be a cheap one.

Gym bags just don't matter to me.

a plain nike one which I've had for some years now. I just put a towel, bathing suit, and a extra change of clothes in it whenever I go to the gym.

I use plastic shopping bags I got in Japan. They say funny things like Size ? or ATMOS. My gym has their own towels and shower materials so all I need to carry are shoes, shorts, and old t shirts.

I use a Tumi bag: I like the separate compartment for shoes. (These days I use the Nike+ shoes and Nike+ clothes). In my bag I usually have the following: Wall Street Journal, iPod Nano and Etymotic ER-4 Headphones (http://www.etymotic.com/ephp/er4.aspx). I'm not worried about using audiophile-quality headphones at the gym because if they do get ruined, I'll just buy another pair. Anyway, great headphones. Let's see - I also have a shower basket filled with shampoo (mop Basil Mint) and a bottle of Molton's re-charge black pepper body wash - bought at the suggestion of fellow forum members on a separate thread -- what would I do without you guys? Also have my Bottega Veneta swimming trunks for the jacuzzi and steam sauna, a current copy of this month's exercise classes (I do spinning and a few others), fresh socks, underwear, tee-shirts, sweat shirts, plastic bags for putting wet clothes, deodorant, band-aids, face cream, razor, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc. etc. etc. Basically it's filled similar to an overnight or weekend bag!
