seriously. why not just start wiking oh i dont know say aspartame controversy

here's two reviews (one here, one here) on aspartame safety.

If the media reports on scientific studies, that does not mean they are false. I don't watch mainstream media and get information from reliable organizations that exist to inform the public. You advocate for valid scientific research yet you don't consider the source.

Do you realize that your two sources for the safety of aspartame are from "The NutraSweet Company" and a corporate lobbyist group? Maybe hundreds or even thousands of studies are done all the time that are funded by lobbyists and manipulated to make a chemical or product seem safe (BPA). But if it makes you feel more at ease with the foods you are consuming, because that's what it seems you are looking for, then continue to read each new lobbyist study that convinces you of safety.

It's not extreme to have high food standards and lean toward more wholesome and natural foods.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. It's one of the reasons why I grow a garden, hunt and fish and oversea the raising of a calf each year. By being personally involved in the process I am assured of the quality of the food I eat.

given the state of my vegetable garden, this is not necessarily a good thing, depending on the gardener.

I have a potted basil plant if that counts. Half of it did die when I went away on vacation, but I did buy some Miracle Grow on said vacation. I have yet to use it.

There's been such a large disconnect of people in the entire food system when it's the most vital part to our lives and health. I'm rushing to get my garden started this year and it will be my first. I'm hoping it will be done before it's too late in the season but I still need to make the raised beds.
