700 usd for these? you could probably pick up something this ugly used from the salvation army for $5.

make you when you buy these expensive 700 usd boots you leave the price tag on so everybody would know they are EXPENSIVE, yes, emphasize the EXPENSIVENESS, and make sure to point and refer to the price tag when people start making fun of your boots before telling them to shut up. don't worry they will still be laughing at you on the inside and will resume laughing out loud the moment you step out of earshot range.

Those are probably quite a bit over 700. At least 1000~. I do like the cut of your jib though. You should write a how-to guide on how to wear expensive items as I'd make it my bible. Thanks in advance! :)

Jeez, Iroh.... a bit harsh, no?

BTW- I'm a fan of the "hidden platform" Guidi's either- However I do like the fact that Guidi is playing with different shapes this season

and +2 the how-to-guide Abraxis so kindly requested :)

Guidi 995 in soft lamb from a couple seasons ago

They're my go to boots for traveling and light hiking because they're soft, lightweight, comfy, and breathable

Wore them for lots of light mountain hiking, two weeks backpacking in India, two weeks backpacking in Vietnam, and they're going to Malaysia/Singapore for a week or so with me this afternoon. Proof that "fashion" boots can be worn hard

^^ given how hard you have worn them, have you ever resoled or heeled them? did you add a topy or anything before the first wear?

They've had the thin vibram heels and soles since day one (the ones similar to topy), and I've redone the heels once. The heel is wearing down again, and I'll get the vibram on the sole redone at that point. I might get a thicker heel put on this time because I ran through it in less than 18 months

Synth-a lot of people disregard the Guidi 995 shape because it seems so super flat in all the stock pictures. It definitely takes on a very nice shape over time when it starts molding to your foot as you can see with Nicely's pair. Speaking of them, I still can't believe nobody has picked up mine at the price I have them : (

On another note, whoever mentioned putting superfeet in his boots, wow, what a difference and thanks for the suggestion. I had some green ones in my Augustas two nights in NYC bar hopping all over and my feet never bothered me a bit! Not to mention this Anteloupe leather on the boots is absolutely butter. Couldn't be more impressed all around with this Augusta purchase.

Lastly, I've got the Julius 277FWM1's coming in to me next week depending on the turnaround in Japan. Can't wait :slayer:

here's a pic of a 995Z- This boot was a special order for a buddy of mine. The "Z" adds a layer of leather to the sole and heel. After looking closely at these pics I can't say I'm a fan the extra leather, I like the sole but the heel looks ridiculous, IMO. *leather type is cordovan

Yeah I agree.. he should have the heel ground down a bit when vibraming it then it would look sweet. the z'd up sole puts me more in mind of an augustus sole now. i think my backzips have a sole about that thick.

995Z is my fave Guidi model, I think the higher heel totally makes it. Grail boot for me is 995z in black reversed cordovan. Some day...
