I wear a 42 in guidi, 40 in carpe diem. The main issue with carpe diem is, for almost everyone, the low instep, which may make a shoe fitting length/width wise, feel too small. That can be stretched though (professionally).

I'd recommend a 41.

i sized up for my backzips, but they're a tad bit loose in the heel without thick socks. i went tts for my derbies, and they fit perfectly. as everyone has mentioned though, the instep is indeed low and will take some stretching to make comfortable. my biggest gripe is that my right ankle keeps getting chafed by the stitching on the side :(

same seller also has a sz41 available: http://page13.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/r100839872

I'd recommend a max bid of at least 55k yen to play it safe (for both)

Thanks eck. Do you know anyone? PM if you'd like.

I would recommend Hide-San but lately Sharp Service has been having issues from what I've read. FWIW, I've never had issues with him. I'm suggest from japan or SuTo corp.

I stretched my S49Ms myself, very cautiously :D
Now they fit perfectly!
