Bought a pair of 988 in soft horse from B&S. Size 43

They fit perfectly, snug. Im a 42 in common projects, 43 in GATS, 8UK/42Eu dress shoe

Im assuming that they have been prestretched to some extent by the previous wearer

Any news on the SikixGuidi collaboration?

trying to decide between the black full grain horse or reverse horse for the guidi 988.

found some older images from a japanese store with Guidi 988's that are hand dyed, black h,instead of the black t (tanned-machine dyed? ). You can notice by the drips of dye in the lining. The overall color looks more matted and imo age more beautifully. I have not seen any other retailer offer the hand dyed option. Probably more expensive and labour intensive.
Anyone know anything more about black h vs. black t?

Full Grain Horse Hand Dyed - Black H ( new / aged ) :

Reverse Horse Hand Dyed - Black H ( new / aged ):

The reverse horse looks particularly amazing as it ages - revealing tones of the original brown underneath. I might just have to settle with the more common Reverse Horse Black T.

They're lovely, but at the same time I would be pretty annoyed if my black shoes turned brown.

Does anyone know the diff between soft horse and horse for Guidi?

Ink lists the colour on the soft horse's as "903T" and horse as simply black:

Was debating whether to toss my Guidis and just buy a new pair or shell our for resoling and repair

Too much sentimental attachment. Bill ended up being around $160 for new rubber soles and heels (the third heels and fourth soles this pair will have seen!), strengthening the leather where it's worn thin, repairing a couple eyelets, and fixing the major surface damage - less than I thought it might run. Hopefully I can get another couple years out of 'em
I'll post up pics when they come back in a week or so

good list, i'd say hide-m (Holger) and pn/p(Marco) have best prices everyone else has a high markup but then again if you are looking for something rare then you'll have to pay more.

vertice london has better prices than most other places, and they do custom orders too. their inventory is a bit plain though
