trying to decide between the black full grain horse or reverse horse for the guidi 988.
found some older images from a japanese store with Guidi 988's that are hand dyed, black h
,instead of the black t
(tanned-machine dyed? ). You can notice by the drips of dye in the lining. The overall color looks more matted and imo age more beautifully. I have not seen any other retailer offer the hand dyed option. Probably more expensive and labour intensive.
Anyone know anything more about black h vs. black t?
Full Grain Horse Hand Dyed - Black H ( new / aged ) :
Reverse Horse Hand Dyed - Black H ( new / aged ):
The reverse horse looks particularly amazing as it ages - revealing tones of the original brown underneath. I might just have to settle with the more common Reverse Horse Black T.
