So do I, not sure where the idea came from that his shoes aren't good quality stuff. Yeah most interest surrounds his clothes Just cuz there's an absurd hype and difficult accessibility... none of which is even really categorized as design whether before or after elena. The aesthetics just based off pre war peasantry for the most part. He tells the mills what he wants and they try to produce what fabrics he describes. I like it anyway

Look really janky to me, but that's the intention. To each his own. redface.gif

Someone really needs to convice these Japanese labels to produce their footwear in size 44. They always just cut me off at 43. plain.gif

Sorry, man. I thought you were being snide. I don't care for the shoes either.  It is a little absurd that most of the hype is around the jackets.

There was a great post by crouka, I think, on SZ a while back about how Harnden produces his footwear. Not that it helps how fugly it looks.

Do you guys add a vibram to your boots? Just got a pair of Guidis, wondering what, if any, precautions do you take? Any for rain? Or am I being a little bitch?

I did mostly because I hate the crunch sound leather soles do, and because of the amount of rain in Seattle. It's worth it unless the sole is gorgeous, or you like leather soles

I do it, as everywhere I seem to live is cursed by rain. Plus I seem to wear down the rear-outer portion of the heel at Olympic qualifying speeds.

Can anyone suggest places to buy LAYER 0 boots in Los Angeles? or any online stores?

Sartorialoft LA for a physical store and PNP-Firenze for online.

Do you know if you can special order with SATORIALLOFT if they dont have your size?

Cheaper to go with PNP if I'm not mistaken....

anyone have any info on this 'rubber treated' guidi leather? looks pretty cool.

There is also Maxfield's in LA that carries Layer-0.

Another rubber treated Guidi (791ZG):

From Vitamori:
"Calf reverse leather treated with a Guidi exclusive rubber compound. Very uneven finish. Thicker sole and heel. Extra long leather laces. Fully leather lined."

cool. i wonder which leather they start with. saw they're doing a tall lace up that also has a back zip now which is nice. those things take like 10 minutes to put on.
