THE OFFICIAL "streetwear" BALLER BOOT/SHOE THREAD ***700usd Min*** - Page 493

New IS looking sick as usual. One new addition to the line up is particularly interesting. Gotta wait for some info on the Augusta S/S '14 before orders are finalised. Anyone (eck, pls tia) feel free to drop the info here or a pm.

L0 has been making their shoes for a while, no (remember the tall and mid sip+lace boots)? The quality is great and you can tell they are made by L0, but I did not like their previous toe or heel shape.
SS14 brings a rounder toe and a regular heel for the derbies; looks much more like regular L0.

I didn't know L0 had a hand in previous seasons. Those designs, not being to my taste, had only been glanced over. Having a look now, it's pretty clear.

Wanted to try and break in a pair of guidi's, can't pull the trigger on the layer 0 oxbloods at the moment, but I saw these - http://www.farfetch.com/shopping/men/guidi-full-grain-lace-boot-item-10429329.aspx

Any good? I was thinking about these or maybe a pair of black back zips, but the backzips seem a little thin, much thinner than what i'm used to with A1923. I really like the way the backzips wrinkle up after wear and am hopeful that these will get the same effect. This would be my first pair of guidi's and everyone seems to say size up +2.. if i'm a 43/44 in A1923 and pretty much everything else I should go for a 45/46?

Thanks!

For what reason is Vibram typically preferred over Topy by owners of Guidi and Augusta shoes? I've never even heard of anybody Topying their Guidi/Augusta shoes, yet everybody seems to have the Vibramed.

it's just nomenclature - sorta like the zeppelin-dirigible thing.

it doesn't matter which you get.

vibram is normally more heavy duty but there is topy that is very comparable, from what i've seen, most cobblers carry topy for thin soles and vibram for thick

There is a vibram topy as well. never tried it.

how do you even go about special ordering boots like that. I've been trying to get a pair of those since forever.

It's not a definite possibility, just inquiring with an A1923 stockist to see what they can do.

Those freaking A1923 charge fortune for rtw. I don't even wanna think how much the custom-made stuff is gonna cost.
