So these just came in today but they don't fit frown.gif which sucks. Carpe Diem reverse destroyed horse from 08? Size 42/9 Looks like they're brand new, new leather smell, partially vibramed no wear on the leather sole area at all, pretty bummed.

Too small.

The cordovan cont does look very nice. Must be tedious to put on with slim hems on pants though, I sometimes find it hard zipping up my ma+ back zips with slim hems so I think trying to do up laces would be difficult. Or maybe it's just my big calves lol.

How does the donkey leather wear over time? Ive been thinking of picking some up or do you guys have a preference over other leather? I know the question has been brought in thickness/stretching, etc. But I recently saw some in donkey leather and I really liked how the variation of dye set on that leather but the leather seemed really soft. Is it even something I should be thinking. About in terms of durability or is more of an afterthought, I'm not planning on wearing them in any harsh conditions but I thought I'd ask.

I believe awhile ago eckblk had recommended Jessie from http://www.yelp.com/biz/fj-western-wear-and-boot-repair-santa-clara-2 for shoe repairs etc.

Had a pair of Silent Damir Doma pull on boots altered to add a side zip. I am blown away!
Now I can pull my 19cm and perhaps even 18cm bottoms over the boots without the shaft causing odd bunching and overlap. YKK zipper was installed.

Jesse really hooked it up! If you are around, you should stop by.

what is the code on the box?

HD01R is the code for reverse destroyed horse if anybody is wondering.

The sole has been resoled by the looks of it (not a big deal)- the boots are in fantastic shape. Someone should get on it, I would if they were 41's.
