is there a go to place to get boots vibrammed in chicago?

On that topic, is $55 a lot for getting a pair of boots vibrammed? I just got quoted that today from my local cobbler. It's probably more since I went local but it did seem more expensive than I thought.

I got a custom order from the "mystery man" that Toasty and Eck mentioned earlier. Great guy!

I've taken boots for a full repair to Gus Shoe Repair in Lincoln Park and Leo's Shoe Repair on the southside by my grandma's house.
Both do great jobs. Gus did a full haul for a pair of women A. Wang boots for me and charged $80 or so.
Leo did a half haul on my Wing's and Horns for $40 and left them brand new looking. Better than when I first got them, really was amazed.
Took a pair of Guidi's to him for full repair, soles, heels, vibram, leather scratches, and even a polish.
Again, his work was amazing. Really like his work. Maybe even better than Gus bc he recognizes quality made shoes even if he does not know the brands.
Leo doesn't charge based on brands like Gus does. While I was at Gus' I saw them charge i think like $60 or $70 to this chick to put some red topy on a pair of brand new Loubs lol8[1].gif
The people at Gus deal with and know more about designer shoes, but Leo's service is as good if not better than theirs and better prices.
If you are around the southside check him out, 55th and Kedzie. He also has a shop in the Logan area on Milwaukee and Western.
