THE OFFICIAL "streetwear" BALLER BOOT/SHOE THREAD ***700usd Min*** - Page 441

I have the bone colored 995 reverse kangaroo boots by Guidi and can attest that the leather is on the thinner side. Size 43 fits me perfectly.

A pair of reverse horse in 998 will be arriving mid-May in same size FWIW and I am confident it will fit the same. I'm stoked, and it did not seem that long ago since I ordered them.

^thanks to eckblk for putting me in touch with the mystery guy ; )

Anyone know what's up with the silver patches on those new Augusta's? Don't see 'em on the Darklands version.. wondering if maybe it's black over silver?

I am not a fan of the weird texturing though. The same style is coming in shell cordovan for AW13, which will be a beauty!

Texture on mine doesn't seem "weird," just a little rough, and the leather has smoothed out with wear. Definitely a bit of the Steve Martin "Cruel Shoes" experience with initial wear, but they break in very quickly, and now I want to wear them all the time. A simple design, but so wonderfully crafted. I was told that even the Goodyear welt itself was hand-stitched, which is pretty fucking awesome. I thought these were great, but I'm looking forward to seeing the shell cordovan version. No pics yet?

/\ Here is a pic showing the texturing (not the mid-ankle version, but same material). IRL, it was more prominent. Not my preference, but others may like it. Plus, it varies from piece to piece.

its the dye process, i believe its where the leather is dyed white first and then black and can only be dyed black

I've read something about this on SZ and TFS. IIRC Premiata designed and produced some of Carol's early footwear (maybe it was maybe just designed).

It think it's just some residue from the treatment- just needs to wiped off. My M.A+ horse backzips showed up with weird white residue on them too- wiped it off and was good to go.

MSRP on the A1923 shell cordovan ankle boot is over 2200euro if anybody is wondering-

Color is lighter IRL. Same thing for the green backzips.

Here is a new line from Japan called Lien. Made with Guidi leather. Looks a lot like M.A+. They even have a back-zip.
Not bad for ¥81,900

Some Guidi:

These are nice, I like the other pictures of them, they give you a real sense depth of color on them, really interesting.
