That is not the case. There have been some models with a shorter heel, but they all have a proportional width IRL. The idea is to have a slimmer profile....
BUT most of the shoes/boots have a regular heel height. And the width is the same.

The boots are comfortable from the first time you wear them. The derbies hurt under the ankles slightly, but a few wears fixes that as the leather loosens out.

No, it's the measurement of your foot from your heel to the end of your big toe.

mihara does run large, the pair i have is 26.5 a touch roomy still and i usually take 27.5-28

no idea but i found that a lot of these boots had one boot that was more distressed than the other

These are great boots, honestly. You need a very specific style for them to work, but if you're into the super-skinny rocker chic look I can't imagine there's a better pair of boots.

Got these 10 Sei 0 Otto boots yesterday. Pretty much exactly as they look in the photos. Leather is very thick; not too stiff but not soft either.. feels like they need a little bit of breaking in. No lining except in the front part of the boot, so your toes don't rub against the thick leather which is a not super smooth on the inside.

Overall the construction seems OK, nothing like Augusta.. maybe on par with Officine Creative. Also, on my pair there seems to be a defect on the sole edge of one of the boots.. it's pretty warped in one spot. Here's a photo:



I emailed daad-dantone to see if I can get an exchange, although they seem to be sold out in this size on the website. We'll see how it goes. I do like the style on these boots and I'd like to keep 'em but ~$600 is a lot for a pair of boots with a pretty obvious defect.

BTW, they use a Blake stitch for those of you that are interested in such things. I seem to recall reading in an interview with the guy who makes Augusta that this is a very simple stitch?

$600 is quite alot of these. You could have gone for OC for half the price. The sole looks weird though as mentioned in earlier posts. Someone here was saying the construction was much better than the mid-tier brands.
I will be curious as to how these hold-up after some wear. Hope you get them to do something about these.
