Got these 10 Sei 0 Otto boots yesterday. Pretty much exactly as they look in the photos. Leather is very thick; not too stiff but not soft either.. feels like they need a little bit of breaking in. No lining except in the front part of the boot, so your toes don't rub against the thick leather which is a not super smooth on the inside.
Overall the construction seems OK, nothing like Augusta.. maybe on par with Officine Creative. Also, on my pair there seems to be a defect on the sole edge of one of the boots.. it's pretty warped in one spot. Here's a photo:
I emailed daad-dantone to see if I can get an exchange, although they seem to be sold out in this size on the website. We'll see how it goes. I do like the style on these boots and I'd like to keep 'em but ~$600 is a lot for a pair of boots with a pretty obvious defect.
BTW, they use a Blake stitch for those of you that are interested in such things. I seem to recall reading in an interview with the guy who makes Augusta that this is a very simple stitch?Edited by tellure - 3/6/13 at 1:40am
