Toast- I'm a 9 in Free 2's with a green super feet insole (stock Nike insole of course removed) and that's about a perfect fit for me. I have super high arches though. Guidi in 43 is a great fit for me length wise but the width and instep (as previously stated) are the problems.

Off-topic but do you really feel a difference between the various types of Superfeet insole? I own both the blue (currently in my free's) and green, and when I rotated them there was not much difference. That and my insole are several years old now so that maybe why lol.
My 9.5 Free's have a good bit of room left in the toe but are probably 1 of the if not most comfortable pair of shoes I own.

Right now I'm trying to nail down my size. I don't want to believe I am the same size as Jet so a 43 maybe my best bet.

Not sure where to try on Guidi in the Bay Area

yup ArchiveSF

and TBH if I'm not mistaken of Jet's size, I believe a 44 is going to be too small. I think he is a true US10, not a true US9.

as for insoles, Superfeet green are the only ones I've tried. They work great for me so I don't switch up something that works great

some people say Superfeet in frees are sort of conflicting, but I love the combination of the Free and the arch support my Superfeet give.

41 in CP
42 in MMM GATs
8.5 in Allen Edmonds Leeds (1-511 last; "Similar to the 7 Last from heel to the ball of the foot, yet with a more rounded, fuller fitting toe [Best fit for the average foot; lays flatter in the toe area].")
9.5 Nike Free (length has almost 1.5" extra room, width is perfect)
8.5 - 9.5 Converse chucks depending on how I like to break them in and wear them.

I think I am a true US9. BTW, I can only wear thin dress socks with the Allen Edmonds but the rest fit well with a thick sock

In my opinion yes. He tried to say it was 'a lot of paperwork' and we didn't understand everything that went into it, but whatever. It is what it is and it's discounted now so that's all I care about because Darklands really does have a good selection and free shipping to boot on orders over 275 euros.
