someone else posted these a1923 backzips a while back, and now i'm strongly considering getting them. the price is 625€ / $845, including international shipping and paypal fees. they don't really appear to have much wear so it seems like a pretty good deal.

i just have two main concerns:
1. they're marked size 43 and the seller said they fit tts with an insole, but could fit bigger without. i'm a true size 44. he said the insole measures 29cm / 11.4" which seemed pretty comparable to my shoes. would it be reasonable or overly optimistic to expect these to fit? if they were a bit too tight, do you think a cobbler could stretch them without issue?
2. i want to wear these with the shaft of the boot tucked _under_ my pants (or pants over the boot shaft, w/e). i anticipate wearing them mainly with slim-straight jeans that measure 19cm / 7.5" across the leg opening. he told me that i would be able to do that without any problem, but has a fit pic (here) with his pants tucked into the jeans which gives me some doubts...i really dislike the boot tuck on side/backzips. he said the top of the boot shaft measures 35cm / 13.75" in circumference. unfortunately i don't have any good boots to compare it with (the main reason i want them...). just comparing my hem measurement to the shaft it seems like it shouldn't be a problem but i also don't want my jeans to look incredibly stiff near my calves. anyone have any idea if that would work?

i'd really appreciate any input on this. thanks in advance guys.

19cm pants / jeans look fine if there is stacking but you will notice the top of the boot slightly. smaller hem though and it'll stick out unfortunately.

also, forgot to add my own opinion on sizing.. I have the same model shoe and I'm a true size 44 / 11 in most everything and I had to size down to 43 because 44 was just too big, even with an insole. 43's fit fine, albeit a bit roomy without an insole. with an insole, its dead on perfect.

wurm, i posted those a while back. after looking into it and trading messages with the seller, i passed because they seemed too big for me. I think they run size large (and thus fit like a 44). If they were a size smaller I would have bought them.

Sometimes different pairs can vary in sizing in this niche, one size 43 can fit bigger than another for the same model.

I am going off the measurements. Those size 43 backzips have a 31.5cm outsole. I am 43/US 10D and could never wear shoes that large. They would look like clown shoes on me and the heel would slip.

My Augusta boots are size 43 and have a 30.5cm outsole. I wouldn't want them any bigger.

edit: I just looked at the pm the guy sent me and he said they have a 31cm outsole, I dont know who is right but either way, too big for me.

ymmv

i found the ss12/fw12 to be consistent, i tried on several pairs and own one, of course inconsistency is possible, the fw11 44s i tried on were too big on me

CDiem and MMoria are not even close aesthetically so I don't understand that comparison.
