I just got super super lucky and bought some brown Carpes for a great price shog[1].gif

Somebody should pick these Augustas up quick though, they're very nice. I'll hook it up price wise to any SF'er that's interested.

I'm also selling the Julius combats. I bought them on a whim just to see if they might work out for me, but I just can't pull them off. They're in FANTASTIC condition and are the best combats ever made.

Hi guys!

New to Boots, and looking for something that can perhaps stand up to Canadian winters. Looking for something pretty high and has to be black. I was looking at some high Marsells and first of all I wanted to know where the brand stands in the eyes of those of you with a little more experience in the area. The ones I was looking at ran just over a grand, and I figure if considering dropping that kinda cash, I might as well check if I'd be getting screwed. I've indulged in sneakers of late and really don't know what to look for in terms of quality, durability etc.. so any info on them would be greatly appreciated.

One problem is that I'm located in Toronto, so I have limited opportunity to actually try things on. I am a 42 in Marsell and 43 in MMM, but boots seem to vary in size to a larger degree than I am used to.

Quick answer, don't spend that much on Marsell, 100% for sure.

What's your price range?

what are these?

I want them BAD.

and if anyone has info on how they hold up in snow let me know.

As stated in the quote with the photos, they are by Attachment (Kazuyuki Kumagai), Spring/Summer 2011, which suggests they aren't winter boot. But chances are, that with a rubber topy, they'd be fine in mild snow. They are great boots. I can't attest for their quality, but I have a jacket by Attachment (2008) that is beautiful--probably my favorite piece in my wardrobe.

thanks- love my cdiem side zips. The Attachment design is pretty much identical to the Carpe Model. You can get the Attachment model this season in plain non-reverse cow.

i dont get it

im sorry, but you would have been better off copping a pair of paul smith yorks or NDC's, and pocketing the difference

I see that style of boot very often, and whether side zip or back zip I find that they basically look very similar such that it's not worth arguing over. it's quite a boring (but classic) design in the first place.
