Pretty sure those shoes are handmade. Looks like dimples on the insole, and the last picture (dunno if it's the actual maker) is of a guy handwelting a shoe. That would explain the limited edition.


Rendenbach will be the sole leather. Very very good soles. Vass uses them. Along with Baker in the UK, they're one of the few tanneries in the world that still do the 9-12 month oak bark tanning. I wouldn't normally care about this because I'm not someone who's anti chemical advances in the tanning process, but I have found that my Baker and Rendenbach soles are strangely both more flexible, last longer and seem to grip better than my other soles.

VThe hurricane is delaying my pay which is delaying my guiding order. That said I know it's size up 1,but as a half ze 41.5 should I go with a 42 or 43? Anyone have outsole measurements for those?

Someone posted them and I said they looked really good, lamenting the fact that they weren't my size. He messaged me with more details and it seemed like there was actually a chance they would be big enough. Unfortunately they're a touch too small but someone should really get them. I think they would be best suited for a 43 or small 43.5 without an insole. The measurements he gave me were:
outsole (following the curved sole) 32 cm
insole (following the curved sole) 29.5cm
Just reposting them cause he was really nice to help me out, but mainly because of how nice they are and thought I could help out with more details. Condition looks really good (save for the invisible knick) and the price is really low ($750). If they had been my size I don't think I would have hesitated. Also, unfortunately I still have yet to wear those A1923 derbies I bought. Partly it's the weather (so damn hot I'm still wearing shorts pretty often), though mainly they're a bit tight. I REALLY don't want to sell them (so nice), so I'm thinking of taking it to a cobbler to get them stretched. It's just a bit too tight for me, really more so in the left shoe (right doesn't bother me - I have a slightly bigger left foot like most people) in the toe box. Do you think this will be enough? I'm going to get the vibrammed anyway, so I figured no harm in at least asking about it but I wanted to read opinions here first since I don't know all that much about shoe construction.

Wurm- the Augustas won't stretch too much, but they should give a little bit. Wear the left one for a day or two, see if it stretches. Mine have been developing nicely, and the leather has given a little bit at the needed places.

Hide-M is cool but they not really carrying the boot I want in my size [43] unless I do a custom. Hmm.
